Many graduates have career decision-making difficulties in career planning. So it is necessary for college career centers to give students training and improve their career decision-making ability. It is needed to know what are their difficulties so that effective consultation will be adopted.This study based on Betz & Taylor's career decision-making self-efficacy theory and Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy-Short Form (CDMSE-SF) developed by Betz and Taylor(1996) that measures individual's career decision-making self-efficacy in five dimensionalities: accurate self-appraisal, occupation information, goal-selecting, planning and problem solving and revised CDMSE-SF for Chinese college students. 1000 Chinese college students from 11 specialties participated in this study. Results suggested that:1) Betz and Taylor's career decision-making self-efficacy theory is applicable in Chinese culture;2) The Revised Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy-Short Form has eligible reliability and validity and can be used for further research;3) Twenty five to thirty percent college students in China has difficulties in career decision-making;4) There is significant difference in career decision-making self-efficacy as a function of college level, specialty, grade, singleton, working experience and no significant difference in career decision-making self-efficacy as a function of gender and family condition.5) Mother's education level is minus correlated with one's career decision-making self-efficacy;6) One's adaptability is correlated significantly with his career decision-making self-efficacy. Results showed definitely that one's career choice adaptability, somatic-mental adaptability, livelihood self-management adaptability and environmental general evaluation have significant linear impacts on his career decision-making self-efficacy and one's problem solving self-efficacy and goal selecting self-efficacy have significant linear impacts on his adaptability.Counseling implications and suggestions for future studies are discussed.
