Ni Zan, nicknamed Yuanzhen and styled Yunlin, was one famous painter living at the turning of Yuan and Ming Dynasties. Together with Huang Gongwang, Wang Meng, Wu Zhen, he was called "Four Scholastic sects of Yuan Dynasty". Ni Zan was expert in painting, calligraphy and poetries. Poetries were edited by later generations into anthologies, such as The Ni Yunlin Anthology of Poetry, QingBiGe Manuscripts and so on. His poetries were mild, peaceful and with an easy grace, so they were highly appreciated by scholars from Ming and Qing Dynasties. There was no completed anthology left by Ni Zan, only some anthologies edited by later generations. So, it's not very coherent between chapters and anthologies. It's a pity for the late generations! The paper is based on the comparison of the existing Ni Zan poetry anthologies, investigated the time, editor and source of every anthology, and tried to find out how it was inherited though the Yuan, Ming, Qing and the Republic of China. This article was divided into four chapters according to the different Dynasties. The first chapter introduced the Ni Zan poetry anthologies edited in Yuan Dynasty, and concluded that there was no printed edition exited at that time, only the Ni Zan manuscript, Zhang Boyu and Yu He transcripts ever exited. The second chapter introduced Ni Zan poetry anthologies edited in Ming Dynasty, including wood block prints from Jian Xi, Yu Xian, Ni Cheng, Pan Shiren and the Ming Transcript and so on. This chapter also investigated the relations between these editions. The third chapter introduced the publication of Ni Zan poetry anthologies in Qing Dynasty. The fourth chapter introduced the publication of Ni Zan poetry anthologies in the Republic of China. Finally this paper gets a conclusion that the publication of Ni Zan poetry anthologies can be divided into three branches, the fist is The Ni Yunlin Anthology of Poetry series, the second is QingBiGe Manuscripts series, and the third is The Hermit Ni Anthology of Poetry.
