Analysis Of The Report Of Perinatal Birth Defects Monitoring In Changchun City From 2007 To 2010

Birth defects means that structure or function abnormalities which occurs in human embryos or fetal developmental process at birth. Controlling the population and improving population's quality is the basic state policy of our country. Birth defects is one of the important reasons for the death of babies and infants. It can cause long time illness ,even permanent disability, influencing the population's quality seriously. Therefore, the quality baby is the foundation of population quality .Purpose: To understand the level and characteristics of birth defects within perinatal infants in Changchun, discuss the influencing factors and find the intervention measures of reducing birth defects level in the region.Methods: Using quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis method, proceeding retrospectively analyzed research of"birth defects registration card"and"perinatal infants dead quarterly"which is filled by 87 monitoring units during October 1, 2006 to September 30, 2010. The subjects of this study are infant with all full 28 weeks pregnancy to 7 days after the inpatient delivery. The data is input using Excel software after many times logical check, and the general popular features of the birth defects is described and analysed using SPSS statistical software package.Results: There are around 219192 perinatal infants in changchun city during 2007 to 2010, the birth defects happen in 2042 cases, there are 1860 cases with a single defect, accounting for 91.09%, there are 182 cases with multiple defects, accounting for 9.32%. During the four years, the five high-risk birth defects in the city of changchun are: the congenital hydrocephalus, much point to (foot), congenital heart disease, spina bifida and cleft palate with cleft lip. Male perinatal infants dead 114979, defects 1130, birth defect rate 9.83‰; Women perinatal infants dead 104186, defects 888, birth defect rate of 8.52 per thousand. Town perinatal infants dead 111180, defects 1358, birth defect rate 12.21‰; Rural perinatal infants dead 108012, defects 684, birth defect rate of 6.33 per thousand. In 2042 patients with birth defects, birth defects diagnosis to within seven days after the diagnosis is given priority to, 69.83%, diagnosis basis was mainly clinical diagnosis, accounted for 69.64%. Defects in a live birth live is mainly, accounting for 67.63%. Maternal age < 20 years old, perinatal infants dead 4750, defects of 35, birth defect rate 7.37‰; Maternal age in 20 to 25 years of age, and between the perinatal infants dead 72978, defects 583, birth defect rate of 7.99 per thousand. The two age groups of lactation birth defects son of some lower risk, and maternal age of 35 years old, perinatal infants dead 23830, defects 253, birth defects rate 10.62‰, this age group of puerpera bears the defects of some high risk. In 2042 patients with birth defects, pregnant women in the birth defects happen difference number, the maternal in first pregnancy, the second production birth defects happen when most number, the maternal education level is junior high school of birth defects found the most, 41.67%. 2042 birth defects is most full term, normal weight. Along with the increase of the number of perinatal infants dead child, birth defect rate increase.Conclusion: Changchun's perinatalbirth defect rate is below the national level during 2007 to 2010. The incidence of birth defects is on the rise during the four years which contains polydactylism, congenital heart disease, cleft lip cleft merger, spina bifida, congenital hydrocephalus and harelip. Birth defects happen in men more than women, the town more than the rural, the diagnosis of birth defects is within seven days after born, diagnosis basis was mainly according to clinical diagnosis,the main live condition of defects is alive. Maternal age more than equal to age 35, birth defects were higher, and maternal age less than 25 years old, a low incidence birth defects.The months women in pregnancy and birth defects don't have much relationship. Along with the increase of the number of perinatal infants dead child, birth defect rate increase.
