Shenzhen Mentally Ill Community-based Rehabilitation Services

The paper wants to view the wants of the people of mental disorder and their family members and services offered for them by interviewing them,service offers and the leaders of the mental rehabilitation institution in shenzhen,and then analyzes the strengths and limits of the community based rehabilitation (CBR for short)services offered for mental disorders in Shenzhen. Finally explores the improvement orientation of community based rehabilitation for people of mental disorder in Shenzhen.This paper is useful in developing theories of community based rehabilitation,also has the practice meaning in improving services of community based rehabilitation for people of mental disorder in Shenzhen.Strengths of CBR services in Shenzhen for mental disorders show these:firstly,involvement of multiple department,organization of social welfare and joint association of handicapped person collaborate with medical treatment rehabilitation institution of mental disorder by funding them.secondly,web of CBR is sturdy. Shenzhen mental health center has created the treatment,skill support and supervise line from mental health center to preventive and treated hospital of chronic disease to center of health services for community residents. Thirdly, it has the rehabilitation belief of strength perspective.this belief has sprouted in medical treatment clinician, also practiced in rehabilitation institution. Otherwise, CBR services in Shenzhen for mental disorders short in:1 mental rehabilitation resources are dispersive,and face the government restrict;2 current services cann't met the needs of sense of belonging and love in residential area to people of mental disorder and their family members, the needs of esteem and ego development too.3.rehabilitation belief of problem model still dominant in this rehabilitation field.Established in the position of service users——people of mental disorder, this paper offers to improve the current CBR services for people of mental disorder in shenzhen.This paper focus on the community of city rather than that of rural, so, some opinions may not fit he status in rural.
