However, on the one hand, the consulting industry is doorsill low and profit considerable, some medium and small investors could be easily gravitated to follow suit. On the other hand, more and more international consultancies are entering China as they gradually place importance on this market area. The participation of both low-end and high-end entities makes the market competition increasingly fierce.The consulting industry in our country, now still at its low integral level, is a mixed bag of enterprises with different degrees of standardization and specialization, for example, small in scales, weak in brands and low in professions. Apart from performing well in its own business, an enterprise, as an entity of this industry, shall take into consideration how to enhance its competitiveness, to excel, and then to achieve its long-term development. Therefore, it is essential to make a developing strategy adapted to an individual enterprise.The Nanjing Consultancy of the L Group has been established for 12 years, in which period it has gained much market share and a good reputation. After reaching its plateau, however, the company has to face a series of issues gradually. Taking this company as the object, the dissertation will analyze the possible strategies of the market share e å—京 panding and the internal problem settlement with its rapid and steady development as the goal.The dissertation analyzes the developing status of the Nanjing Company from both the external and internal perspectives. For the external environment, the dissertation analyzes the macro environment through the PEST and the industrial environment through the Five Competitive Forces of Porter Model, and then evaluates the adaptability of the current developing strategies which taken by the company to the external environment through the EFE Matrix. For the internal environment, the dissertation analyzes the organizational structure, the financial situation, the marketing campaign, and the human resource conditions of the company through the Resources Theory and the Capacity Analysis Theory, and then evaluates the inner stress of the company through the IFE Matrix. Afterwards, the dissertation acquires strategic alternatives by matching the external factors with the internal ones of the company through the SWOT Matrix Analysis, and subsequently modifies the current strategies targeted to the Nanjing Company.Through the above analysis, the dissertation defines the mission and the prospects of the Nanjing Company based on those of the Group, sets the strategic goal for the next developing phase of the company, analyzes the products and the service of the company through the DP Matrix, and makes the corresponding business development conception and implementation strategies.From the perspective of the strategy formulation, the dissertation concludes that the following strategies will function in the development of the Nanjing Company, i.e., maintaining its competitive advantage by differential strategy and target focus strategy, realizing resource sharing and mutual benefit by establishing strategic alliance, ensuring the implementation of the strategies by improving enterprise knowledge management, constructing enterprise culture,setting short-term strategic objectives, marketing strategy and human resources management strategy etc. |
