Medical Information, Research And Application Integration Platform Design And Realization

The problems of difficult and expensive medical care are very concerned by the public and government of China. It can be alleviated in some degree by improving operational and managerial efficiency of hospitals, reducing the interior operating costs, allocating reasonably social medical resources. Medical informatization is an important means to solve the above problems, but relatively its development pace seems very slow.This paper gives an in-depth analysis of the present situation and issues of medical informatization, and makes a lot of research of the whole information solutions provided by every important vendors of medical informatization. Based on current researches and some professional opinions, this paper gives a comprehensive analysis of current solutions of medical informatization and then finds out some inherent weaknesses. At last a new idea to solve the problems is studied and provided in this paper.According to characteristics of current medical informatization, this paper puts forward a new type of application platform for integrating medical information, which can access a lot of medical care systems and their data sources, realize the interconnection between heterogeneous systems and exchange data of the systems. For the systems or their data sources can be accessed by some medical or generic software products through this platform, it makes the sharing and comprehensive application of medical information become easier.This paper puts forward, describes and defines some new concepts such as standard medical information coding and medical uniform data objects (MUDO) in platform design. Thus, a new method is provided in this paper to integrate medical information system and suggest a whole system solution.
