Dicom Protocol To Achieve And Applied Research

This thesis introduces DICOM standard which is applied widely in Medical Picture Archiving and Communication System, and propose a hierarchical implementation method of DICOM network protocols, key techniques of this method is discussed in detail. On dataset's coding, key part of DICOM protocol's implementation, this paper gives a new simple implementation of dataset which applies binary tree as the dataset's computer representation. The image compression technique used in image communication and storage are discussed. Since MS Windows is the most widely used computer platform, the DICOM image display and process technique on Windows is also dealt after the image compression topic. Finally the paper illustrate an application of DICOM protocol with a mini storage solution.
