In modern society, the increase in division of labor makes the collaboration much more important.The collaboration in a corporation depends on the network, so network applications become more and more important. Performance is a very important aspect for this kind of enterprise applications, for it affects the efficiency and the competitiveness of corporate, which directly affect the corporate earnings. With the increase in users and application upgrades, companies increasingly want to build stable, secure, high-performance applications. Therefore, the study on the performance of such applications is particularly important.The main objective of performance development in enterprise application is to develop an application which meets the performance targets in given implementation time. Currently, there're a lot of researchers have conducted a study on this issue in home and abroad. There are mainly two kinds of opinions: one is that the technologies used in the development process are the main cause of performance problems. Another is that the application development process is the main cause of performance problems. Consequently develop into two kinds of solutions ---- technology solutions and process solutions [1].Java EE has a great advantage on developing enterprise applications. There are a number of mature technologies and frameworks to provide support for the development of enterprise applications, with which you can significantly improve development efficiency. The continued birth of frameworks in Java open-source community facilitate the development, improve the efficiency of the development, but the negative affection of the system performance is evident at certain times. Programmers around the world are also committed to the framework performance improvements.For the securities industry, dealing with large amounts of data is a characteristic of such enterprise applications; therefore, we must take performance into account.This thesis will starts from the prosesses and aspects which affect the Java EE-based application performance, do some research on how to improve the performance of applications based on Java EE, as well as the attention in this process. Then analyse the requirements of the channel management system for a securities company, elaborate of the implementation of the system. Finally, describes the performance problems encountered in development process and their solutions, according the the development process.Hardware, operating systems and other underlying factors affect application performance greatly, but these factors are out the scope of this thesis, this thesis only considers the factors that affect system performance on specific hardware and operating system environments.This thesis elaborates the performance of the Java EE-based channel management system of securities industry.
