With the development of modern science and technology, the application of millimeter-wave is widly spreaded, and the demand on millimeter wave source becomes stricter more and more. The millimeter multiplier, as a very important component of millimeter wave source, has a very broad application prospects in the field of communication, radar, missile guidance, radio astronomy, electronic warfare and so on.The dissertation mainly introduces the properties of millimeter wave, and millimeter wave multiplier's nowadays development. It also analyses several common multiplying methods, and adopts three-stage cascade connection to fulfill U-band 8 times multiplying. The first stage multiplier is fulfilled by using a commercial MMIC chip CHX2193, and the second stage multiplier is fulfilled by using a commercial MMIC chip AMMC5040, while the U-band doubler, as the third stage multiplier, is designed with a Schottky Barrier diode of MA4E1317. The U-band power amplifier is gotten by applying a commercial MMIC chip TGA4522, and a W-band blanced doubler is performed with the Schottky Barrier diode of MA4E1317. The model of the diode multipliers are set up and analyzed by utilizing the software of ADS and HFSS. According to the measured results, for the input frequency 5.76GHz with power 10dBm, the output power of U-band 8 times multiplier is 6.79dBm with the harmonic suppression of 21.94dBc. The gain of the U-band amplifier is 12dB from 40GHz to 46GHz. And the output power of the W-band doubler is 3.85mW for the output frequency 92.16GHz. At last, for the W-band 16 times frequency multiplier chain, when the input power is 10dBm for the input frequency 5.76GHz, the output power is 3.57mW with the clutter suppression 55dBc.
