| V band up-converter plays an important role in the ISL system. The accuracy and realization of the scheme affects the performance of the whole system directly. In this paper a planar structure scheme is utilized and up-converter of this structure is studied here.The theory and design of the balanced converter, fin-line waveguide bandpass filter, waveguide to microstrip transition and millimeter-wave amplifier are studied in this paper. Finally the paper presents the structure and the simulated result of each module.The paper also studies the mechanism of the IM distortion produced in the up-converter, and presents the approach to minimize the IM distortion effectively. |
