Research And Implementation Of Test Method Based On Airline Data Warehouse System

During the informationization construction of Airline Company, a lot of applications have been used, such as business application,OA(Office Automation),MIS(Management Information System)and so on.But with the high speed of the company's development,this kind of system is not enough for data use any more.So a system based on data warehouse is needed. It can help the company to organize and store data effiently, and it also can help to transfer the information to knowledge. Then it's a very important thing to make sure the data the application supplied is correct.That's the responsibility for the testing.Firstly, the recent situation and the the problems of data warehouse system testing are introduced.Secondly,the features and contents of data warehouse testing are analized based on the statements of the differences between the application based on data warehouse and the application just based on database. The contents of the testing are ETL testing, UI function testing and performance testing.Focus on the business requirements and the system design of the application, the test method and test strategy are decided via comparing many kinds of test methods.The whole process of test cases designing and executing for the three contents is introduced by taking the field about analisis of customer's number for example. Meantime,the process of dealing with defects is introduced, especially for data quality and ETL coding problems.Finally, the result and the future of the testing are summarized.
