Coke is the main material for metallurgical industry, with the rapid growth of Chinese steel demanding, the demand of coke is growing and the requirements for coke quality are increasing. The hierarchical control system for the coking production process is the plant-level control system for coking enterprises, its performance will have a direct impact on the quality of coke production and the energy consumption. The study of coking production process control system for performance evaluation of multi-layered strategy will have an important significance.Coking production process hierarchical control system is a complex control system, which includes a number of control levels, respectively, the optimized control layer, advanced control layer and basic automation layer, while it contains a number of dedicated production process control system, they are the blending process, heating and combustion process and operational planning and scheduling. This paper will assess the three control levels of coke productionl control system, present multi-layer performance evaluation strategy which includes a number of performance indicators of three control levels, through the process capability index, BP neural network modeling, predictive control performance assessment methods, integral performance index, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, multi-layer performance evaluation strategy is actualized.In the optimal control layer, process capability index will be used for the coke quality and it will define a economic performance indicators, in the same time, the prediction model will be established for the required target variables through BP neural network modeling approach; In the advanced control layer, heating and combustion control system will be assessed by model prediction historial performance indicators and process capability index heating; In basic automation level, the various valve controllers will be assessed by the points-based performance evaluation indicator; In the consolidated decision making portion, indicators will be synthesized through fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, and the whole control system performance will be obtained finally.Performance evaluation strategy for multi-coke production process has been applied in the laboratory simulation platform, it has completed the performance evaluation for the production process of coking hierarchical control system effectively, assesses the available results to on-site operators, and provides an effective information for staff to maintain the control system.
