8th Feb,2010, the collaboration officially begins between Ningxia TV Station and Shanghai Radio&TV Station (RTS for short as followed) which is the first administration in the nation-wide approved by SARFT(short for "the state administration of radio film and television") to take charge of separation of program producing and broadcasting. Since then, the national audience can choose to watch the programs produced by CBN for the new version of Ningxia Satellitic TV station (NST for short as followed) in the next five years through the cooperation between the production by CBN which belongs to RTS and national broadcasting by NST. In the first month since CBN tv programs settled into NST, the author made the conclusion based on the comparison in the ratings researched by CSM before and after revision of the NST, that is its ratings performance remains flat though its typical audience circle as that of CBN terrestrial channel in Shanghai has already come out. CBN has taken steps towards a larger wide, but hard for it to form its particular core competitiveness and influence which can go with its brand when be put in the competition with CCTV or other provincial TV stations.As one of the few professional financial channels, CBN's development process has many difference compared with other foreign financial media. This paper aims to analyze the operational thinking and direction of our domestic financial media's development which should be put in the background of separation of programming production and broadcasting. The article first introduced the broadcasting situation and TV audience's characteristics after CBN's programs be taken into NST and then analyzed the competitive circumstance that CBN faced. Meanwhile, the article also describes with some professional programs of TV channels of some major overseas financial media like Thomson Reuters, CNBC, FBN, Bloomberg, giving a comprehensive summary and grasping view on the definition of financial programs, types and innovation form. According to CBN's audience, the article analyzed the advantages and disadvantages for the financial television media in the program's production process, such as the contradictions between the financial topic and the expression of television media, as well as that between the professional direction and the ratings pursuit, to probe into financial program's core competitiveness and the key factors to measure its influence.Finally, taking brainstorming which can be the most representative one of CBN talk show programs, the article means to prove that what kind of core competitiveness is in need of financial programs. Beginning with the comparison in the audience's composing from new NST and from CBN, the article made an in-depth analysis of the financial program, especially in the specific practicing experience in the early program planning, structural design, guests composition, post-packaging and program promotion of brainstorming as a representative financial talk shows.In this paper, the author claimed in the final concluding section, that to enhance the influence of financial television programs, support from professional information platform was not the only aspect, but to have independent views when giving interpretation of information as well as to set up a proposed platform for the audience (investors) are more vital. Through seven years of practice in this regard, Brainstorming has already figured out its abundant experience in financial program's process management and core competitiveness which can be learned from for other ones in the planning team, programming process and the controlling ability. Meanwhile, the article also pointed out that in order to maintain its core competencies, brainstorming need to be in constant pursuit of innovation and leading topic which may be helpful to maintain its unique character standing our from other similar programs. |
