On Salt and Iron, written by HuanKuan of XIHAN dynasty has been thought of as a great works in studying XIHAN dynasty history, and as far as art and language are concerned, it has important values as well. But with copying by turns for two thousand years, there are lots of mistakes in it. Many experts had gained a series of accomplishes due to diligent labors. In the process of reading a few of revisions of" On Salt and Iron ", We have found that some mistakes including redundant words, wrong words, wrong compilations, mistaken corrections and some explanations of words and expressions are not correct or clear, which is open to question. Based on the previous studies, we try to revive this works, and look forward to provide some useful periodical achievements for the study of early ancient Chinese specialized books.This paper is mainly involved there problems:the first one is correcting wrong compilations,we apply Dui Jiao(对校),Ben Jiao(本校),Ta Jiao(他校)and Li Jiao(理校)approaches to correct redundant words, wrong words, wrong compilations and mistaken corrections; the second one is re-explaining, based on " On Salt and Iron "and compared with "A Brief Explanatory Note of Salt and Iron ",we try to correct some wrong explanations of words and expressions; the third one is discussing punctuation, we try to amend the punctuation differences and wrong places found in the process of reading those books above.At the ending of this paper, some wrong print errors about "On Salt and Iron "and "A Brief Explanatory Note of Salt and Iron " are added, as a consult for reprint.
