Ajax In Geographic Information Systems

With the rapid development of Internet technology,more and more local application had developed towards into the web platform.In the field of Geographic Information System, platform framework for GIS software technology has become an important component of GIS softwares because of the combination of Internet and GIS,and which dominated the developt direction of WebGIS.The GIS based Web has changed the way of geo-spatial data acquisition,transmission,sharing and application,and it will be the direction of future GIS development. With the technical development, the WebGIS are used in more and more fields and more and more new techniques also appeared. ArcGIS Server technology based Ajax which was launched by ESRI has brought us a new revolution.Ajax could met the WebGIS requirement, such as the large number of immediate interaction,the frequent communication to servers and the data transmission requirements. It could also effeetively reduce the burden on the server and the data transformation requirements.the paper introduces the basic principles of Ajax technology.which analysised and compared deeply with other technology,and intrduced the characteristics and advantages of Ajax.Moreover the paper had also introduced the GIS in detail and the ArcObjects of ArcGIS Server,which had introduced and analysised other GIS softwares of ESRI.The out comes of our research was that,we established a solution for structuring spatial Web Service based on WebGIS. and had gave the answer to problems confronted by traditional WebGIS,we illustrated spetially the technique of ArcGISServer and the Ajax.Ajax technology based ArcGISServer had give us good results and facilities.In this paper, data on forest fire prevention theme is based on integration of WebGIS technology to achieve network analysis, proposed putting out the fire program for the fire fighting teams to provide convenient and efficient web service, WebGIS, and Ajax technology, the perfect combination to make the system more good data management, update, sharing features and a powerful decision support functionality, making up less than many of the existing fire protection systems. Simplement and convenient in constructing the subject of the direction of the forest fire made us a very good idea, in order to enable network sharing platform under the current forest fire fighting proposed an effective solution.
