Kinds and consumption of super-hard materials cutter are rapidly increasing in the modern manufacturing. Enterprises of super-hard materials cutter need a simple and practical CAD/CAPP integration system in order to improve design, production efficiency and enterprise communication level. Some commercial CAD system and CAPP system on the market with the characteristic of mutual independence, low integration and impracticability are unsatisfied with the need of enterprises. Under the condition, it is important to study CAD/CAPP integration system of Super-hard materials cutter aimed at satisfying with the target of communication building of Super-hard materials cutter enterprise.The thesis analyses type, characteristic, development and trend of actual CAD technology and CAPP technology, at the same time, it fully analyses CAD/CAPP system integration. On the basis of processing configuration and present technology, it offers a design method of CAD/CAPP integration system of Super-hard materials cutter. It expatiates in detail upon work principle, structure and model function of CAD/CAPP integration system of Super-hard materials cutter.The thesis analyses workpiece structure characteristic, function characteristic and manufacturing characteristic on the basis of boring lathe tool, moreover, it studies feature coding rule and constructs workpiece feature coding; It achieves the automatic design of super-hardness boring lathe tool and the automatic drawing by using producing arithmetic; It realizes the automatic design of workpiece machining process by using process design approach which basis comes from practice and index method of processing example on the basis of workpiece feature coding; It achieves the automatic transmission of workpiece characteristic information from CAD model to CAPP model in order to satisfy with CAD/CAPP integration demand by using dynamic database technology and using the tache of workpiece feature coding; It establishes geometry parameter database, feature coding database, processing example database, processing model database and processing files database; It developes systemically operating interface according to system function demand; It studies output approach for processing files, designs corresponding processing table and successfully realizes automatic creating, editing, saving and print output of processing files; It designs the basic frame of CAD/CAPP integration system of Super-hard materials cutter, achieves the development of CAD/CAPP integration system of boring lathe super-hard materials cutter.The thesis offers the approach with which super-hardness tool is made to design and manufacture, and so on. It is the common meaning to develop the serial CAD/CAPP integration system.
