Web And Database Integration Of Applied Research In Capp

Traditional CAPP with Client/server structure has long been perplexed byfacing multi-departments, multi-operating systems and integration with other software systems.With the rapid development and wide-spread application of network, and the rising of advanced manufacturing technologies and management systems (dM5, PDM, MRP II, etc.), CAPP is developing towards network and integration. Through the research and development of "Process Planning and Management System of EBOM Based on Web"the paper analyses the advantages of Browser/Server structure that comes into being along with the Internet, investigates the technologies of integration between Web and database, then applies it to the domain of CAPP, realizing the share of product process information in a new way. EBOM, containing information of product's structure and process planning, is the key factor of the integration of product-oriented CAPP and other application systems. Based on discussion of the functional modules and structure of the Management System of EBOM, the paper emphasizes crucial issues including processing procedure of original data of EBOM and management of the edition of EBOM. Finally, it puts forward the corresponding practical methods.
