| CAPP and CAD is the product of computer technology in mechanical manufacturing field The integration of CAD/CAPP is the need of modem production and the key segment of CIMS realization The key of CAD/CAPP integration is information integration That is to realize to share information between CAD system and CAPP system, the output of CAD system can be taken for the input of CAPP system The feature modeling technology is found a new way to realize the integration of CAD/CAPP This paper puts forward total designing scheme of CAD/CAPP integration system of box-type part based on developing plat form and designs total frame and each module of CAD subsystem and CAPP subsystem on base of the connection of CAD and CAPP system with taking feature for the basic unit In the side of integration on the base of analysis of feature definition and categories, this paper puts forward definition and categories of feature for box-type part This paper overall describes feature of box-type part and constructs database of feature information by using the way of many features, many directions and many layers CAPP system can transforms feature information from CAD system into CAPP feature information through special module, and obtains feature information from CAD system By this way the aim of CAD/CAPP integration is reached This integration system is developed on three-dimension mechanical design system of SolidWorks, and is supported by all IBM-PC with windows2000 or Windows NT Through objective-oriented OLE automation technology, this integration system is developed and connected with Solid Works system as a plug-in Therefore, this integration system has the same user interface with the SolidWorks Its interface is well At last, this paper use the integration system of CAD/CAPP to design module and process handbook of a typical box part designed by Nanmng Mechanical Company as paradigm to testify?whole design of the integration system of CAD/CAPP...
