Large-scale utility boiler furnace combustion process is a complex physical and chemical process of constantly pulsating and three-dimensional features in a larger space. The basic requirement of utility boiler combustion is which set up and maintain a stable, uniform combustion flame in the furnace. It is an important question of Combustion flame temperature measurement that can judge the status of combustion, and prediction and diagnostic in the field of combustion. Get the furnace combustion flame image by color CCD, It is a challenging task that calculate the flame temperature base on digital image technology.This article combined the image processing technology and furnace flame monitoring equipment, according to the principle of heat radiation and the color CCD foundation study, extract image information using digital image processing technology. Design and extraction flame temperature through software simulation. The main job is as the following:Analyzes the features of burning flames and constructs the processing system for the burning flame image in this article, as well as investigates principles of formation of images for CCD, colorimeter and photometry. Then fundamentals for digitized formation of image for burning flames are concluded.With a view to degradation and distortion of flame image in some extent compared with original one, the degradation model of image is consequently established. In accordance with this model, transformation, and restoration for flame image will be realized .Thus the processed flame image will be close to the original one to the greatest extent. Enhanced treatment, so that the objectives and the furnace flame background have a clear distinction, and then segmentation ,extract flame goals from the background.Study the measurement algorithm that include single-color temperature measurement method, two-color temperature measurement methods, three-color temperature measurement methods, and radiation measurement methods base on digital image technology, analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of these algorithms. In this paper, in accordance with the actual measurements required, improved algorithm based on the radiation measurement methods, updated the radiation coefficient, experimental results show that the furnace temperature near the true temperature.Develop a software of the furnace flame temperature detection base on Windows using Visual C + +.The software has the following features: Flame image collection, flame image transformation, recovery and enhanced treatment, flame treatment image segmentation, detection of flame temperature.
