Metropolitan Transport Networks Based On Network Security Technology Security Evaluation System And Implementation

Telecom industry has become a pillar industry in China, and plays an important role in prmoting China's economy growth.Transmission network is one of the most important telecommunications network infrastructures.It is not only the carrier of other telecom business, but also one of the main resources of telecom carriers for rent.And the QoS of value-promotion networks belonging to telecom carriers is directly tied with operation quality of the transmission network.Under the construction for several years, the transmission networks of the domestic telecom carriers began to take shape, and could almost satisfy all kinds of business's need of transmission rate.But with the expansion of the scale of the transmission network, the old infrastructure of the Metropolitan Area Transmission Network(MATN) was not fit to the rapid development of the business.And there were many problems in security,including:l).The layering of the MATN was not legible and secure;2).The infrastructure of the MATN was not reasonable because of too many logical rings and chains which resulted in low secure network.In this paper,firstly the SDH technology and the secure networking technology of MATN were introduced. Secondly, according to the investigation on the MATN's actuality of CMCC's branches, the infrastructure and the networking mode were classified in detail.A whole index system that represents the security performance of network infrastructure, transmission equipment, fiber network system, power-supply system and a security classifying system were induced.Then,based on two systems above in theory ,a template of the MATN's security evaluating tool which was the most-valuable result in this paper was generated.At last, the result was concluded and the application prospect of the MATN's security evaluating system was introduced.The MATN's security evaluatin system was tested in CMCC's Guangdong branch and Chongqing branch, and normalized the evaluating and analyzing job of the foundational MATN in network maintenance department of the telecom carrier.It will become a powerful tool for the transmission network maintenance engineers to realize the comprehensive status of the MATN qualitatively as well as quantificationally.It is beneficial to guide us to improve the quality of the MATN.
