The hardware and software design of linear CCD data acquisition system based on CPLD is introduced. The operation principle, design scheme are also introduced. The linear CCD named TCD1209D produced by TOSHIBA recently is used. In order to realize the time order of driving unit, some special devices are used to design a high-speed data acquisition system, including the CPLD named XC9536 produced by XILINX and the A/D converter named TLC5510A produced by TI. VHDL language is used to design the driving unit of the linear CCD. And the program has been complied and simulated in ISE development environment. A data acquisition program has been designed and the image which has been collected is shown in the format of BMP picture.The technology of adjusting the image aberration is discussed. An adjusting program has been designed and used in the data acquisition system.The results show that the data acquisition system which has been designed can correctly collect the image data. And the image aberration has been adjusted.
