Power splitter and multiplier are the key components of microwave system. The dissertation is an investigation of RF wideband power splitter and millimeter wave multiplier. At the beginning of this dissertation, the research background of microwave power splitter and millimeter wave multiplier is given. Secondly, the system program designed for the required targets is shown. The the design and testing result of a 3 dB power splitter are given in chapter 2. The testing results display that the insert loss is less than 1.2 dB, the amplitude and phase imbalance between the two output ports are less than±0.13 dB and 4.5°, and the isolation between the two output ports is less than -14dB. The dimension of the splitter is only 8mm×5.7mm×4.5mm, and the weight is 0.64g. This power splitter has a simple design method, low cost and small size. The design of of transition between rectangular waveguide and microstrip are shown in chapter 3, which makes a good preparation for the future design of the whole system circuit.A microstrip frequency doubler covered from 92~96GHz is designed in chapter 4, using the high frequency electromagnetic filed simulation software CST and Advanced Design System. The whole multiplier includes waveguide-microstrip probe transition, filters, impedance matching circuit and a Schottky diode. Testing shows that when the input power is 8mW, the efficiency is 3.3%.The designing and testing of U-band SPST(single-pole single-throw) swich is introduced in chapter 5. The testing results indicate that the on-off ratio is higher than 40 dB, and this switch reaches the desired impact.
