With the developing of millimeter-wave communication and radar, the application of millimeter-wave is increasingly far-ranging, and the demand on millimeter wave source is on the increase. The dissertation firstly describes the property of millimeter wave ,millimeter wave sources and millimeter wave multiplier's nowadays development at the first chapter, then confirms the proposal based on the realistic conditions that the multiplier fulfills the output of millimeter wave.. First of all, each of the components is introduced, which includes the design of the Ka-band wide band doubler, Ka band attenuator, the coupling detector and the control circuit that is used by the adjustable output of power. Then all components are connected and debugged. In the design, we firstly confirms the circuits of the components according to the basic theory, then corrects the circuits according to the result of simulating,debugging and measure. The doubler has been designed by the balanced circuit to achieve wide band frequency multiplying, uses preamplifier to achieve enough microwave power, and achieves the low input power and full waveguide band output. The attenuator has been designed by absorbing diode array, achieves the attenuation demanded using two schottky diodes. The circuit of power control has been designed by the input using keyboard, displaying using LED, adaptive controller using MCU(microcontroller unit), which achieves the adjustable power output. Based the above work, we can extend the frequency range of microwave signal source to millimeter wave band. The multiplier module achieves adjustable power output from 0 to +17dBm in Ka-band, but does not fulfills full waveguide band adjustable power output because of the performance of the Ka-band detector.
