CDMA2000 1xEV-DO is the new 3G network technology which is updated from CDMA2000 1x network. CDMA2000 1x is one of the most popular 2G mobile communication technologies. It is commonly used that the EV-DO network is either an upgrade of 1x or superposition network with 1x. EV-DO and 1x coexist thus the operators must solve the problem of system coexistence.The paper mainly researches the interference between system CDMA2000 1x and EV-DO when the two systems coexist. Firstly, the paper introduces the research background of the project, the development of mobile communication system, current research situations from both home and abroad and the source and content of this paper. Secondly, the paper introduces the characteristics and the key technologies of the CDMA system, especially the CDMA capacity planning and coverage planning technology. Then the paper analyses the classification of the CDMA system interference, the calculation of the interference between different CDMA systems and several types of the interference. Thirdly, the paper focuses on the research of simulation algorithm of the interference between different systems. Based on the theory of Monte Carlo simulation, the paper puts forward a simulation algorithm that reduces the interference among systems. By using software C++ Builder the paper realizes a simulation interference software platform. This platform can realize the following tasks: setting station sites, simulation parameters and relevant parameters about the interference of the system. Finishing these tasks the platform can simulate the interference among different systems and obtain the loss of system capacity because of the interference. Besides, by using the platform the paper analyzes the ACIR (Adjacent Channel Interference power Ratio) value, the loss of capacity with different deviation of the base station. On the basis of repeated simulation, the paper gets the performance of the network when the two systems co-exist: when ACIR value between 1x and EV-DO keeps stable and the distance seperation between two systems increases gradually from 0 to cell radius R, the interference will also be on rise; when two systems are co-site, the capacity loss resulting from the system interference is the least and when the distribution of the sites is certain the interference will reduce with the increase of the ACIR value. Lastly, the paper comes up with the suggestions according to the simulation analysis and results.The paper has finished the following tasks: it combines the mutual-simulation of 1x and EV-DO into Monte Carlo. Then the paper devises the simulation platform among CDMA systems. By operating the platform, the network topology sites can be easily established, simulation parameters can be set up and the simulation of the interference among different CDMA systems can be realized. In one word this research has great value of popularization.
