A lot of 3G wireless network will be constructed at home and abroad in a few years. As one of three 3G technical standards, CDMA 2000 technical will get further development. A complete process of mobile communication network construction involves the stages of feasibility study, network planning, engineering implementation, network optimization and network maintenance. The network planning, as a critical stage in the whole network construction, determines the network framework, the scale of the system investment and network performance. As the coverage, capacity and performance of CDMA2000 mobile network are interdependent, it is necessary to use professional software platform for mobile network planning simulation.This dissertation analyzes the system features and random factors which influence the results of CDMA2000 wireless network planning simulation. The main influencing factors include randomness of wireless channel, randomness of traffic distribution, diversity of traffic models, power control technical, soft handoff technical, and so on. This thesis gives the modeling methods for these influencing factors, then proposes integrated wireless network planning simulation algorithms for CDMA2000 1x and 1xEV-DO system。The core of the simulation algorithms is that generates a large number of instantaneous network snapshots in the computer and analyze to acquire the network performance results of these snapshots, and then through statistical assessment on these snapshots gets the estimated network performance. In every snapshots, terminals access to the mobile network by iterative, until the total uplink and downlink interference from terminals changes between iterations is convergent. And the terminals in every snapshot follow Poisson distribution. In the planning simulation of EV-DO system, the forward coverage is mainly determine by the network configuration, and, in reverse link, the terminals attempt to access to the wireless network from high data rate to low in sequence.We develop a planning simulation platform for CDMA2000 system based on the algorithms in this thesis. The results of theoretical verification, comparison to same kind of commercial platform, and contrast to test data of real CDMA2000 wireless network show that the platform is proper and practically. The work in this thesis helps to understand the principle of CDMA2000 wireless network planning simulation, and is favorable to direct the construction of CDMA2000 wireless network. Also, the methods in this thesis can be used to develop wireless network planning simulation platform for WCDMA and TD-SCMA system.
