After3years of effort,3G of the three domestic telecom operators has entered its golden age of development respectively. There has been a great breakthrough in users’number, operating income, network coverage and terminals. And the importance of wireless spectrum resource as cornerstone of3G development has been highlighted gradually. Especially, as operators accelerate the commercial process of their3G evolution into LTE and ChinaSat plans to deploy mobile satellite communication service in S band, greater challenges emerge in spectrum management and plan. Thus the management of2GHz band which is the principal operating band of3G system attracts much attention and discuss of operators, manufacturers and CCSA. Therefore, it is necessary to take precautions to study the adjacent band compatibility and coexistence issues between3G systems and other mobile communication systems (especially the ones to be deployed in future).Based on the above analysis, this article focuses on two coexistence scenes:coexistence between CDMA20001xEV-DO and LTE-FDD (1xEV-DO’s potential evolution) or TD-LTE (TD-SCDMA’s evolution) around1920MHz, and coexistence between TD-SCDMA and mobile satellite communication system around2010MHz. It evaluates their adjacent band compatibility issues by using the methods of deterministic analysis and monte carlo simulation which are commonly used in3GPP coexistence study, and gets the result of spatial separation and extra frequency protection requirements between different mobile communication systems as well as the advice. For the coexistence scene between lxEV-DO and LTE-FDD/TD-LTE, this article studied and deduced the ACIR model between two multicarriers systems which solved the measurement of the interference. For the coexistence scene between TD-SCDMA and MSS, it researched on the coexistence topology for the two heterogeneous networks and put an emphasis on interference impact on TD-SCDMA network under different types of satellite terminals and different deployment density values. The research results of this paper could provide the reference and proof of theory and practice for the spectrum plan and network design in2GHz band.
