Geographic Information System (GIS) is a spatial information system, which synthetically and dynamically accesses, stores and analyzes geographic information using the theory and methods of system engineering and information science, with the support of computer hardware and software. It is a figure expression to describe the earth's surface and used to solve geography questions. As the sea takes up more than 70% of the earth, it is possible that regional wars will break up on the sea in the future. It becomes more and more important to develop the monitor system of satellite sea targets. For sea targets are moving targets, it is difficult to acquire the intelligence information of sea targets. With the development of Global Position System and wireless communication technology, it becomes possible to position real-timely and monitor remotely sea targets and GIS makes it more perfect.The whole design, detailed design, realization and system test cases of the Integrated Display System of Sea Moving Targets are described in the thesis. According to the users'demands, the system is designed into six modules, including maps management, real-time display, targets replay, targets query, targets statistics and maps labels. Maps management realizes the function of opening, saving and deleting a map, maps measurement, eagle eye maps and other basic maps operation.The real-time display and targets replay are the key modules. According to the acquired sea data, the track of targets is real-time displayed and replayed. Targets query and targets statistics inquires and analyzes marine targets, according to the query and statistics condition set up by the users. Maps labels realizes the function of adding, editing and saving labels, map format graphics and print output. Analyzing marine targets in a visual and dynamic way is realized in the system. It is useful to help users analyze and master the status of marine targets. It also helps to accelerate the development of the monitor system of satellite sea targets.The development of the system is based on .NET platform and ArcGIS Engine, an embedded GIS software. The dynamic display technology and spatial query technology are applied in the system. The dynamic display is brought forward in ArcGIS 9.2, and used to real-time display and replay the track of targets. The display performance of the dynamic display is better than GDI+ drawing, and the entire display is manipulated by the dynamic display technology to support data query, zooming in, zooming out and rotation.
