Radar If Simulator

With the development of the radar signal simulation technology, radar signal simulators have become an important part in radar technology. Compared to the field test, Radar simulation technology is more flexible, and relatively low cost. For that, radar simulators are widly used in Radar debugging, performance evaluation and Algorithm validation. This paper discusses a radar simulator for the design and implementation.This papar first introduces the radar simulator and the research overivew, which gives the specific tasks and functions of the radar simulator. Then set the Radar coordinate system and modal the radar echo signal, followed by a disscution of the random flight method and the simple flight method in two kinds of radar model. Then propose the radar system block diagram of hardware implementation and analyse the computing operation and storage simply, finally simulate the whole work of the radar simulator based in the simulation software Matlab, then have a signal processing to the generated radar echo signal, the distance, the speed and the position information of the target got in the processing are used for a comparative analysis. The results show that the radar target simulator in the simulation software to achieve the desired function correctly.
