The computerized embroidery machine is the most advanced embroidery machine,but with the fast development of the electric and the computer technology,the customer have the new request for the function of computerized embroidery machine. But, due to the difficult in the technology or the obstacle in the cost,it is difficult to realize the new technology on the controller of the native computerized embroidery machine. Such as the Ethenet,USB,LCD display etc. The computerized embroidery machine's control system described in this paper makes improvement in above areas,and reduces the gap between the native control system with advanced technology in the world.The computerized embroidery machine's work principle is detailedly analyzed in this paper,and refer lots of technical literature in this area all over the world,with the function request of the machine and study the most new technology in the embedded field,the control system's platform based on the ARM&Linux is desinged.According to functions implemented by system,the article raises scheme of system consisted of multi-MCU. MCU S3C2440A produced by SAMSUNG is used as main controller,it takes charges of man-machine conversation,Ethenet, power off preservation and data processing etc.; MCU LPC2103 produced by NXP is used as accessory controller, it takes charge of the control of the principal axis and the frame motor and send sensors detected information to main controller. Main controller communicate accessory controller with series interface. System scheme of multi-MCU relieve main controller burden,and make it easy to debug the system. The article program in the Linux Environment and make the functions modularization. Then the system's stability is enhanced and to be given the advantage to upgrade the system.The article has finished hardware and software of design for the main controller.In the aspect of hardware, with main controller of S3C2440A as the core of design,the system use mass capability Flash and SDRAM for Linux operation system. And the design thinking and the principal electric circuits of every function module are introduced.In the aspect of software,the configure and compile of bootloader for the S3C2440A is analysed in this paper. The method to transplant the Linux operation system to the S3C2440A,and to make the root filesystem are analyzed. Base on the Linux program Environment,the article research the Linux device drivers and analyze part of the program of function software,include, LCD display,touchscreen control,Ethenet.Finally,the system is debugged,some questions in the process of the system's development are concluded and the emphases of the next development and research on the computerized embroidery machine are prospected.
