In this design, the communication signal generator circuit has been designed, which can generate a variety of communication signal.Firstly, the algorithms of generation of a variety of communication signals are analyzed, including a variety of analog signals and digital signals, such as AM signals, FM signals, DSB signals, FSK signals, PSK signals, MSK signal and so on. On this basis, according to the theory of Software Radio, the communication signal generator circuit is designed into a common hardware platform which can generate various types of communication signals and can be used to achieve various functions by software. One method mainly uses the DSP and Data memory CF card to generate the signals through digital-to-analog converting, mainly generate a variety of analog modulation and digital modulation signals; the other method designs signal generation modules in FPGA to generate the signals through digital synthesize, mainly generate digital base-band signal. Here the methods of design of software and hardware which can generate a variety of communication signals are introduced.At the end of this paper, the entire system performance has been tested, and actually generates six kinds of communications waveforms, Including AM signals, FM signals, DSB signals, FSK signals, BPSK signals, and digital base-band signal. The results show that the design of this method of communication signal generator circuit has a strong feasibility and efficiency.
