At present, the automatic color-changing and automatic thread-trimming control device of embroidery machine domestic can't match that of foreign embroidery machine, and are at a disadvantage in the international high-end market. If the domestic products want to increase the competitive power, we must improve the control performance of them. So it is very significant to develop controller of color-changing and thread-trimming.The disseration is focused on the controller of color-changing and thread-trimming, the main research results are listed as follows:(1) The general plan of controller of color-changing and thread-trimming was designed. The operating principle and the working process of the embroidery machine were introduced; the architecture of electric control system and peripheral interfaces were analyzed; the I/O signals were defined and the general plans of hardware and software were designed based on the function of the peripheral interfaces.(2) The hardware of controller of color-changing and thread-trimming was designed. The pertinent components and modular converter were selected, and the control circuit of the thread-holding electromagnet, nose electromagnet, color-changing motor, thread-trimming motor and thread-hooking motor were designed, according to the requirements of the controller of color-changing and thread-trimming.(3) The software of controller of color-changing and thread-trimming was designed. The software of the automatic color-changing and thread-trimming control device were designed, based on researching development and running environment and signal processing principle.(4) The controller of color-changing and thread-trimming was debugged and tested. The result of test professed that the controller had good reliability, and the efficiency of color-changing and thread-trimming were increasing.This controller is successful developed, which providing a good platform for controlling the color-changing and thread-trimming. Meanwhile, as the base for the successive research.
