CNC machine is a material and technical foundation of present manufacturingsystem and high-tech machine tools. Presently, the development of CNC machine hasalready made significant progress in accuracy, speed, large-scale and multi-axis. Butin terms of reliability, there is obvious gap between domestic made and importedmachine tools, leading to the key features used in domestic high-end CNC machineabout80%occupied by imported products. The reliability of domestic machiningcenter is low. The most important reason of it is the reliability of domestic keyfeatures significantly lower than the international level. The key to improvingdomestic machining center is to improve the reliability of the key features, especiallythe domestic chain magazine and automatic tool change system. And reliability test isthe main technical means to improve the reliability of product."The Reliability Design and Testing Technique of the key Feature " is the issue ofthe national "high-end CNC machine tools and basic manufacturing equipment".Combining with it and domestic chain magazine and automatic tool changing system,this paper developed chain magazine and automatic tool changing system reliabilitytest system. This paper carried out the reliability of laboratory test and field test ofchain magazine and automatic tool changing system. In this paper, the Weibulldistribution method was used to analyze the test results. Moreover, this paper hasfound the design flaw and weak links of chain magazine and automatic tool changingsystem and put forward the corresponding improvement measures proposed toimprove the reliability of domestic chain magazine and automatic tool changingsystem.The main contents of this paper is as follows:1. In consideration of domestic chain magazine and automatic tool changingsystem, this paper has developed reliability test system for chain magazine andautomatic tool changing system. On basis of analyzing the functions of test systemand the operation mode of chain magazine and automatic tool changing system, thispaper designed the mechanical system and control system, including test systemhardware design, control system design, structural strength analysis, PLC program design, human-computer interaction system design and so on. Moreover, this paper selected the electrical components of test system.2. According to JB/T10791.1-2007and other relevant standards, this paper standardized the standard of data collection methods of laboratory test and field test of chain magazine and automatic tool changing system. This paper developed the process of laboratory test and field test of chain magazine and automatic tool changing system, including test preparation, test requirements, test content and so on. Also this paper developed fault determination and counting guideline, and needed fault record table and operation records table of laboratory test and field test of chain magazine and automatic tool changing system.3. This paper analyzed field test data of chain magazine and automatic tool changing system, obtained Weibull distribution model and reliability level, β=1.006, a=2105.62T=2100.3h. Using WinBUGS, this paper analyzed laboratory test data of chain magazine and automatic tool changing system, obtained Weibull distribution model and reliability level, α=2105.0,β=0.9646MTBF=2138.8h. Under the premise of exclusion of early failure, compared the results of laboratory tests and field trials data, we got that laboratory tests can approximated instead of field trials.
