Qinghai-tibet Railway News Reports

This paper based on the news of People's Daily, Qinghai Daily and Tibet Daily (Chinese Version) about the Reports of Qinghai-Tibet Railway from Feb 2001 to Jul 2006. I mainly use the literature analytic method and the case analytic method to unify the qualitative analysis with the quantitative analysis to inspect how the media of the Central Government and the Area Government and Minority Autonomous Region report this project with the characteristic of big time span and much spends and much influence from crosswise, longitudinal, spatial three dimensions. Through compares, I found the difference and problems of the three media organization. To analyze the reason of this, finally I found that how the Minority Autonomous Media report the important national affairs.The introduction part is divided into three sections. The first section explained Qinghai-Tibet railway's concept and the construction significance; the second section defined the Qinghai-Tibet railway news's definition, elaborated the research significance and the third section gave a brief introduction of the related research tendency and the research technique.The body is divided into four chapters. The first chapter classified the reportage contents from the three newspaper and listed the general characteristic of Qinghai-Tibet railway news, including special news status, important news theme and diverse news literature style. The second chapter focused on the three different period of the Qinghai-Tibet railway—operation construction, building the railroad track , the entire line went operation. And analysis the news key words and concluded that the media organization stress different in the construction. The third chapter is the comparison from spatial dimension. On the one hand it affirmed the role and special function of the news media at report of big event; on the other hand it summarized the existing problems and the reasons for the problems. According to the conclusion of the three chapters above, the fourth chapter elaborated the enlightenment to the national minority media. It discussed how the national minority media report the important event happened around them, as well as how to join the reporting of the national affairs positively.I tried to make the paper well-founded, well combination of the key point and the whole Article and researched on the report of Qinghai-Tibet Railway from multi-level and multi-angle. It will help me a lot on the report of the similar event of the news media, especially the ethnic minority media.
