This paper analyzed the characteristic of the engineering design and the three-dimensional space for the Qinghai-Tibet railway, and its impact on safety of military transport and civilian transpor, summarized the network applications of the Qinghai-Tibet railway monitoring system,including anti-terrorist destroy alarm,major disaster monitoring,security monitoring and data collection,enviromental monitoring,traffic safety monitoring.etc.This article described the technical advantages and the development trends of wireless sensor network,as well as the progress of research and applications on wireless sensor network in traffice safety monitoring.In this paper, we proposed a model of wireless sensor network according to the actual requirements for the dynamic monitoring system of Qinghai-Tibet railway, the heterogeneous wireless sensor networks constructed the mojority of many types of sensor nodes which have the limited capacity, and the minority of sensor nodes named sink node which have ability.Sensor nodes are responsible for sensing and monitoring of railway transport dynamic information,and transmitted to its neighbors as well as the preception of neighbor nodes transmitting information.Sink nodes can communicate with each other and transmit data,and be responsible for preception of information transmitting to the monitoring center.For this model, we presented the constrainted equations for the sensor node deployment, improved the multi-layer and multi-path routing protocol and defined a weighting function for route selection.we also presented the scheduling management issues which devided the sensor nodes into the maximum disjoint sets, and gives the maximum disjoint sets algorithm to solve this problem. The proposed model for wireless sensor networks lays a theoretical and technical basis for research and development of wireless sensor networks oriented the civil-military integration of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway Transportation dynamic monitoring system.
