Sla For The Operation Of The Network Monitoring System Data Management Platform Design And Realization

SLA(Service Level Agreement) is the contract about the quality of service, priority and responsibility between service providers and users. At present, the technology has become a expectant solution to confront with the current problems in the network management area. However, in order to achieve the desired results, not only required uniform standards but also needed a network monitoring system which can dynamic monitoring the network performance and would be able to fully meet the whole process of SLA. It would make network management can generate the quality assessment report which is in accordance with the SLA standards for the users while give the network manager the dynamic network performance information. In order to meet the SLA, the development of SLA NMS(SLA-oriented dynamic monitoring system of network) is very urgent.Based on the traditional network management and combining the thinkings of SLA, the very purpose of this paper is to design and realize the DMP(Data Management Platform) for the SLA NMS(SLA-oriented dynamic monitoring system of network). Through carefully thinking about the system and analyzing the position of the DMP in the system and the functions that should provide, the paper determined the structure of DMP and the interface that would be showed to the other modules in the system. With a more in-depth analysis of the features of the various data in the system, drawing on lots of data management solution and appropriate modifications and integration to make it suitable for the characteristics of the data, and we ultimately used logically dividing the database technology, tree storage structure and batch by batch technology to optimize the data storage suructure and performance of the data operations and improve system's expansibility when the data changes. In addition, we capsulation the data management function to hidden data storage structure and optimize the data operations and also improve the capability of demand data changing. At the last the thesis gives a actual performance evaluation of the DMP through anlysising the data procuring from the test of the DMP atfer the system had run for 2 months. The implementation of DMP is able to meet the system's requirement. As the data centre of the system, the DMP is able to provide the unified management of data between all the modules, is able to optimize performance of data manipulation, is able to achieve rapid data backup and is able to provide a server switch function when the DMP crashs. Although the expansion of DMP didn't have been test at the edge of project, but ,through the analysis, we believe that would been well displayed when the project needs to modified for the demand data changing. But there are somewhere can be improved in the DMP, such as the instability of DBMS and the imperfect performance of the slow operation of relational database.
