The research of this thesis is to show greatly growing up of LCD(liquid crystaldisplay) driver market and business work in mainland. In basis of this type of thedevice's test theory, combining with modern integrated circuit test method andexperience from lots of the engineering cases, the author proposed a test evaluationsolution for this type of device which is proved effective and low-cost.The main work of this thesis is below:Analyzing the real situation and related need of the LCD driver field and identify themainstream of application represented by TFT-LCD. In terms of the specialty ofdriver IC structure, combining with the test method, we start the discussion.Analyzing the features of all kinds of LCD driver IC, the thesis introduces major testitem from difficulties and importance.The thesis introduced knowledge of high-speed digital interface Gamma correctionprinciple and OSC, charge pump, and illustrated how to test them.A series test evaluation criterion is proposed for display drive circuits. With this testevaluation criterion, we can get a high quality test results and high test efficiency.In addition, because of high limitation of power consumption, we made power testmore accurately with the improving method. The thesis mentioned how to performIDDQ test with high-efficiency which separated DUT and ATE by switch on and offthe tester relay, on purpose of making the current measurement at the same time oftest pattern running. This method balance test time and cover-rate well.In terms of the engineering cases of the debug work, the thesis made the summary andconclusion to improve the work efficiency of the verification step.By using LCD driver test system (YOKOGAWA ST6730) as the example, the authorintroduced the feature of the test platform and how to use the test resources tooptimize the test program. The mentioned solutions have been used and got goodresponses from local designers.
