In recent years, the sea transport of China is developing rapidly, and the number of ships is growing. The status of the search and rescue for the ships in danger needs higher request :Vessels and personnel in danger should be rescued successfully with less time and less cost. Using electro-optical imaging system can improve the accuracy of search and rescue.Against the basic characteristics of marine search and rescue, we identified the system with dual-video input, basing on the pipeline patterns of eight TMS320C6416T-DSPs and extensible structure of Image Processing Recognition System. TMS320F2812-DSPs are used for video collection, and the image data is transmitted through XINTF interface and multi-chips TMS320C6416T-HPI interface . The VGA module is used to image display. This paper emphasized the function of the hardware system scalability, the modularized structure is used in the design of hardware system. It not only reduces the complexity of design,but also benefits the group work.
