CIMS (Computer Integrated Manufacturing System) is an integration of advanced administrating method and technology. CIMS refers to software science engineering science and managering science, and it is an important measure in which enterprise realizes managerial modernization.On the background of An Yang Yong Xing Iron&Steel Company implementing CIMS engineering, analyzed status of CIMS's development. and some problems of CIMS system development, such as the method of CIMS development and realization, the paper had discussed general scheme of YG-CIMS engineering deeply, and explored integration between sub-systems in theory and practice. It has great significance to present CIMS engineering's application and generalization. The main contents of this paper are outlined as follows:1. The system architecture of CIMS is explained in detail, and difficulties in CIMS implementation of discrete and process industry are also analyzed comparatively. Improving the Hybrid Process Production of Yong Xing Iron&Steel Company which integrates with discrete and process industry.2. Based on the survey and study of actual production of Yong Xing Iron&Steel Company, the paper has discussed demand analyses for CIMS and designed general YG -CIMS system architecture of CIMS .3. Several main business flow models under CIMS environment are studied and established, and designed some key interface .4. Crucial factors of Yong Xing Iron&Steel Company -CIMS engineering are analyzed and technologies and methods for system integration such as UML and agent are also discussed in detail.
