Research And Application Of Order Management System For Special Iron & Steel Industry

With the changes of enterprise environment inside and outside and the implementation of enterprise information, the traditional Order Management mode hasn't be already fit for the demands of enterprise development and the market competition. The production of special iron-steel enterprise itself has both discrete and continuous characteristics, which process is complex. And also the products have numerous species, which all make the management process from indenting to production much more difficult. Therefore, it can't do more effects to control the performing course. The Order Management of the modern enterprise needs an integrated system which can plan, control and manage the flow of order form in every department of the enterprise harmoniously, so that the enterprise could operate according to the market quickly.Take a wide view of the developing trends of Order Management for the domestic and international iron-steel industries; they are developing in the way of information, and mainly for the business-decision. So it drives the enterprises to make full use of modern information technology and advanced Order Management theories which can provide effective tools to decrease the business costs and increase the economic profits.The paper does some researches as follows for the problems described above:1. Based on the research of special iron-steel industry, its information level and the advancedenterprise management theories such as ISPS, ERP, MES et al, this paper presents the special iron-steel industry Oriented Order Management Mode in the integrated environment of the Integrated System for Production & Sales(ISPS), builds a integrated Order Management System based on the upper management system (ERP) and lower execution system (MES).2. Using the Unified Modeling Language (UML) this paper analyzes the system functions, designing the system structures and set up the system architecture and software prototype.3. Practicing the software prototype and according to real conditions and characteristics of the enterprise, adopting the J2EE 3-tier architecture, the Order Management System for Northeast Special Steel Co, Ltd is developed.The Order Management System studied in this paper is based on the enterprise information and advanced management theories to face the market. It adopts the model integrated with ERP and MES, and achieves the unification of flows of material, capital and information. By using this system, people can make, plan and control the order form easily and can make decision-making quickly. This system greatly alleviated the task of the employees, raised the efficiency, and met the customers' needs better.
