In an era of information and digitalization, media is gradually permeating our lives and has become an important force in shaping our social transactions. The birth of the new medium, mobile phone, which has all the advantages of various media into one, gives a new feature to the Semiotic environment, physical features and social environment of human communication which inevitably affects the perception, reasoning and habits of the users, and then shapes the culture of interpersonal communication. In light of the interactions between technology, communications and culture, this thesis mainly deals with the mobile phone employing related theories in the study of media ecology. The physical features of the medium of mobile phone are discussed and the biases of the aspects of the sense, space-time, contents, society and politics are analyzed, and then the relationship between the new medium of mobile phone and culture is analyzed with the example of interpersonal communication through mobile phone. Finally the description of the effects on the communication of mobile phone by the development of mobile phone and the social system is given. The thesis falls into five parts. In the first chapter, the outline of the media ecology, the second part the sensory features and Semiotic environment of the medium of mobile phone are analyzed. In the third one, the biases of the mobile phone, the interpersonal communications through mobile phone and the cultural orientation of it are illustrated the fourth one, take a systematic look at communication through mobile phone. In the last chapter, to draw a conclusion.
