The application of Hospital Information System is not only the consequence of the combination of the theory and the practice of the modern hospital management with the information technology (IT) , but also an inexorable trend of the development of the hospital information system. Whereas, how to apply the theory into the specific programs of the construction of the hospital information system and how to insure its smooth implementation are new tasks of great significance to the vocation of health care at both home and abroad so that the result of the tasks bring the hospitals a favorable benefit in society, economy and management. This article, based on the management concept in the modern hospitals, brings forward a project of"a large scale integrated hospital information system"by means of computer system management of items and in terms of the case concerning the construction of the hospital information system (HIS) of the People's Hospital in Zhongshan.City.The level of digital hospital construction and informations technique vitally related.The information technique that most affect the digital hospital construction divide four aspects:1.The standard coding;2.The data exchanges;2.The data exchanges;3.The information system integrate;4.The Overhead construction of Virtual storage management technology .The information system integrate is most key technique.This researches carried on middle ware and standard platform based on HL7,and apply in digital hospital construction to each methods,and obtained good result.Firstly,the article introduces the status in concerning the construction of HIS at both home and abroad; Then, combining the developing stratagem and the managing requirements of the modern hospitals, it fixes on the goal of the construction of HIS, that is,"the large scale integrated hospital information system". And then, drawing support from the experience of zhongshan hospital,it analyses mainly the designing and the implementation of the large scale integrated hospital information system. Finally, this article talks about what we have learned and achieved from the course of constructing of our hospital's information system,our ideal is that offering reference standard interface in building the Digital Hospital in china.
