Along with the development of wireless communication, many systems such as mobile communication, radars, guided weapon, measure equipments need higher and higher performance of frequency synthesizer, low phase noise, high spurious restraining, and low jumping time . PLDROs are applied abroad to frequency synthesizers and microwave oscillators, special in space exploration and measurement instrument, because of their excellent phase performance, spectrum purity and stability. On this background, we do some research work on the theory and engineering design of X-band low phase noise PLDROs.The subject is previous-reseracher project and requiring finishing it by Sampling PLL. At present, PLDROs mostly are achieved by experiences of engineers. It is difficult to finish it for lack of deeply analysis and instruction in theory. With the development of the pulse formation technology, the upper_limit operating frequency of the SPD becomes higher, and can satisfy our request of higher operating frequency. The way of phase-locked is directly sampling the signal of DRO.The follow is the difficuilt of the project:1. The design and debugging of the low phase noise DRO;2. The design of Sampling PLL circuit and external circuit;3. The design and debugging the filter of the Sampling PLL.With above difficuits, the theory and all kinds of structures and noise of oscillator are introduced firstly. Second, deeply analysis the theory of DRO, comparing all kinds structure of DRO.And then, deeply introduces the Sampling PLL, include the theory, structure, and performance. The design, debugging, emulation, testing about DRO and circuit of Sampling PLL also are inreoduced. At the end, the design and testing results are analyzed and some solutions to the shortages are put forward.
