Web Gis And Its Application In Environmental Management And Implementation

Geographic information system(GIS) is the computer information system which can collect,manage,query, analysis,operate and perform information associate with geographic.Along with the fast development of Internet technology and the demand of geographic information system,It is necessary to issues and publish space data and provide the function of browse,query and analysis space data for user via Internet.And then, the geographic information system based on Internet was produced,Web GIS not only developed a new field in using resource of geographic information,but also make it possible for sharing GIS information.At the same time,as the main technology and carrier of digital Earth,Web GIS already became an important direction on research in IT domain.Environment is a major issue that human society is focusing on.Alonge with the globle environment is worsening day by day,people realize the importance of Environmental Protection. Simultaneously,people alse realize the significant function of information technology in Environmental Protection.This paper introduces the function,the characteristics,the main technology on development and associated production of Web GIS firstly,and then it does a thorough research on application of Web GIS in Environmental managerment.At last,the way on implementing of Web GIS is described by desingning the Source of pollution and total quantity control Information System.
