Network, communication, television system and switching power supply have entered the digital age. Audio equipment is small and intelligence. On the audio amplifier people have higher requirements: high efficiency, low heat, smaller size and high integration.Class-D amplifier integrated circuit uses the digital PWM technology, modulate the digital signal directly, enter the output stage circuit and then a low pass filter to driver the speakers. This amplifier deals with digital signal and realizes the fully digitized of the audio path. The principles of Class-D amplifier are discussed firstly. Then the design uses the Top-down design method.The basic principles, modulation, realization and application of the digital PWM are studied. Based on it, proposal the overall design, give two systems constructs and specific design index. Every CMOS circuit is completed and emulated based on HSPICE. CMOS circuits are emulated all together and the result demonstrates the emulation outcome according with the anticipate result. Based on studying the output circuit and principle of H circuit, Resurf LDMOS is chosen. According to analyzing principle of Deadtime and driver of output stage circuit, the deadtime control circuit and driver circuit are designed and then improve the stability and driving ability of the circuit. The functions of all kinds of low pass filters are introduced and then confirm the type and components. By simulating in Matlab, the parameters are confirmed. Based on it, the values of the components in the actual circuits are calculated.At last, accomplish the layout design and realize the DRC. This part was accomplished on 0.6um CMOS process with CSMC Technologies Corporation.
