As an important branch of Computer Simulation technology, Visual Simulation plays a vital rolein the pilot flight training because of its characteristics of directness, effectiveness and economy.Meanwhile, it is also a significant part for Flight Simulator. In this paper, a system aim to realize thevisual simulation of flight training with the simulation tool, Vega Prime/Multigen Creator, is designed.The simulation system involves the functions of reproduction of flight, combat and assessment of thebattle effectiveness.Firstly, this paper analysed the pros and cons of the prevalent simulation tools, and thenpresented the advantages of Vega Prime. According to the shortcoming of Vega Prime that lacks ofinteractive ability, we overcome it through the conjunction with MFC. It explained two frameworks:Time-based Single-document framework and Thread-based Single-document framework. Each onehad been supposed to be customer-oriented. It solved the problem of keyboard input within theconjunction with MFC and the problem of system-running without Vega Prime environment.Then, it explained the design of the wide rang of scene based on the Creator. It designs twoislands, connected by ocean. for the combat demand. We simplified the terrain model in order to meetthe real-time requirements. So, the ocean was just designed by texture mapping and it was alsoimmersing.The paper also discussed the ADC assessment model with the analytical method. According tothe system requirements and the assessment condition, it focused the research on the mutilate abilityof the ADC assessment model. We proposed an evaluation method toward the target destruction whichwas suit to our system.Finally, this paper finished the design of Scenario-driven and interaction with the realization ofmulti-reproduction modes, multi-angle, airborne separation and some special effects like weather andbombing.The simulation results show a user-friendly, easy-operating and reliable system on the basis ofVega Prime/Multigen Creator. The system obtains the desired goal.
