Battlefield scene simulation is the popular technology in research recently, as well as one of the technologies seriously regarded by military. Battlefield scene simulation uses Visual Reality, Computer Simulation technologies to process and simulate various kinds of information about battlefield, so that it can display as the real battlefield. Spaceflight launch site realized the virtual environment of actual scene, described the viewable process of rocket emission and flying. Based on the characteristics of high real-time and interaction, the paper designed system function, analyzed technology course, advanced holistic frame and confirmed the development environment with MultiGen Creator/Vega.According to the theory above, considering the correlative project, this paper profoundly researched the 3D battlefield scene simulation, especially the keystone and primary content of this computer application field.Introduced the conception of Virtual Reality, it choice based on geometry virtual reality modelling method, and the background of the project. Divided thesystem designing into two parts, modeling and model driving. Then chose thedevelopment tools.Described the foundational theory. Profoundly researched the modeling software of Creator. Learned the skills about how to use these two soft wares. Then used them to design the battlefield scene simulation libraries of themodels.Introduced the elements and the API functions library of the development tool, Vega. Then used it to build the simulation system of this paper by mastering the modules of this software.Designed and implemented a battlefield scene simulation system ran at the PC platform. The system contains two work states, distributed and local state, and it can simulate three different environments and the process of the missile attacking the targets, included the voice and special effects information. The program displays fluently, and is easy to control by users in real-time.
