Yishi Daily, as well as Dagong Daily, Shen Daily, and the Republic of ChinaDaily was once taken as the four most influential newspapers. Yishi Daily in its day inthe war to resist Japan in Songhu area on January 28th, so the communication ofwar also came to maturity.With a great deal of first-hand material and from the perspective of warcommunication, the paper is divided into three parts to make a thorough investigationof Yishi Daily in the war in Songhu area. The first part expounds the externalconditions of Yishi Daily during the wartime, including the political and legalenvironment. The second part discusses the internal conditions favourable for the warcommunication by analyzing the paper's financial conditions, technical conditions,human resources and the journalist. The third part further expounds what the papershowed and function during the wartime, including the rationality of the war, thehatred of the common enemy in the war, the belief of final victory and the claim for afull-round resistance.
