Flyer frame is one of the important parts in spinning process, and it takes charge of the drafting, twisting and winding processes between the drawn sliver and the fine yam. The development trend of flyer frame is high speed, high efficiency, automation, continuity and mechatronics, but our technology of flyer frame is left behind by other spinning machineries in the last decades. The driving system of old flyer frame is that the roller, the flyer, the pipe and the rail systems are driven by the main motor through several gear systems, but the driving system is flexible and not precise. Meanwhile, the foreign companies make great progress in flyer frame machinery, for example Zinser, Toyota and so on. In the middle of 1980s, we started to produce the flyer roving frame and it developed quickly in practice in the Seventh Five-Year Plan. There are large numbers of spinning machineries in our country, so it is necessary to develop the textile machinery. Now the textile machinery is one of the sixteen important industries which will be developed especially in the Eleventh Five-Year Plan.According to the needs of spinning characteristic and engineering requirements, this paper analyses the questions of constant velocity control and constant tension control as well as the synchronous control driven by four motors. Based on the theoretical and experimental research, the ADRC(Active Disturbance Rejection Controller) is simplified and used successfully on the flyer frame of EJK211 in shanghai Erfangji Ltd at last. The main works in this paper are as following:(1) According to the tension condition in the winding process, the synchronous drive and the winding speed control are the main questions in the control system of the flyer frame.(2) Aiming at the unknown flexible system, this paper introduces and simplified the Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (ADRC)t the new Linear Active Disturbance Rejection Controller (LADRC) is proposed and compared with the PID controller in SIMULINK.(3) On the platform of control system made up of PCC (Programming Computer Controller) and ACOPOS (Advanced Coordinated Optimized Positioning OS), the results show that the winding speed of pipe in the flyer frame is controlled by the ADRC to keep the tension and the velocity constant.
