With a background of Digital Library building project, this paper researched the integration of digital resource from angles of its storage, organization and searching, aiming to solve the problem of the so-called Information Island that is currently existing and widespread. Through the investigation of present technology of digital resource integration, this paper scheme out a framework solution of digital resource integration that is named UNIRES. The UNIRES framework solution can be divided into 3 parts: the UNI-STORE, the UNI-META and the UNI-SEARCH. Among them, the UNI-STORE is a storage integration solution, which is designed to replace existing file system with the virtual storage domain, a resource access protocol and a resource routing protocol are also offered for satisfying the needs of resource access and mass resource replication etc. The UNI-META solution puts forward a design that use concept of the digital object to solve the integration problems of storage & meta-data, meta-data & meta-data, meta-data & index, and this solution also suggest that use the concept of ontology to integrate meta-data with index on semantic level. The UNI-SEARCH is integral searching solution, which combines several present products and solutions to carry out a middleware architecture that based on searching adaptor, and brings solutions for protocol adaptation and non-standard interface searching issues.
