Study Of Method Of The Information Storage In Digital Library

With the development of Network Telecommunication and new technology, the construction of library gets a tremendous progress and digital library has becoming a realization. This paper presents a project to settle huge data storage of digital library. Firstly, the paper introduces and analyses the technologies of DAS (Direct Attached Storage), NAS (Network Attached Storage) and SAN (Storage Area Networks) and build a data storage model of SAN-NAS based on the technology of Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage. This model can be used to build a backup storage network of digital library. The technologies of NAS and SAN has separated storage equipment from server and avoided the choke point of server during the accessing of many users. Adopting the technologies of NAS and SAN and making up their deficiencies, the SAN-NAS system offers a solution for huge data storage of digital library. Besides, the paper also introduces the mechanism of management and the back up of data of the storage network of Digital Library based on the technology of SAN-NAS in detail.
